Mitsumasa Anno Exhibition



A perfect view of the art of Mitsumasa Anno given by a lineup of earlier to later works, including Mysterious Pictures, Anno's Journey and The Illustrated History of the Three Kingdoms.
Mitsumasa Anno has been well known as a painter, picture book writer/illustrator and book-binding artist for more than half a century, and his distinctive works are popular both inside and outside Japan. This exhibition unveils his unique world filled with heart-warming beauty and his sense of humor and wonder, featuring such works as Mysterious Pictures, his first picture book, and The Illustrated History of the Three Kingdoms, one of his modern epic creations.
