CHIHARU SHIOTA, I to EYE
Big Chiharu Shiota solo exhibition, for the first time in Osaka in 16 years!
Internationally successful Shiota, now based in Berlin, confronts fundamental human problems like life and death, continuously asking through her works what it means to live and exist. The global pandemic taught us that other people are indispensable, and this exhibition approaches our connections to other people through the three concepts of “I,” “eye,” and “ai” (Japanese for “love”). Primarily installations, the exhibition features pieces made using a variety of methods, such as paintings, drawings, 3D works, and videos.
