Johannes Vermeer and the Masters of the Golden Age of the Dutch Painting from the Collection of the Gemäldegalerie Alte Meister, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden

One of the masterpieces in his early years to be revealed for the first time at a place other than the repository

The painting known as Girl Reading a Letter at an Open Window by Johannes Vermeer, a 17th century Dutch painting master, is on show for the first time at a place other than the facility it is housed after the latest restoration work. About 70 other masterpieces stored in the gallery are also exhibited, including those by Rembrandt, Gabriël Metsu, and Jacob Izaaksz van Ruisdael.
