Sen no Rikyu was the forefather of “wabi-cha,” a style of the Way of Tea. The camellia well and the well roof were made with old parts of the Daitoku-ji Temple Sanmon Gate, which plays an important role in Sen no Rikyu’s legacy.

Access- Change trains from Shinkanaoka Station on the Midosuji Line to the Nankai Bus, get off at Shukuin and walk 3 mins. Or a 3 mins walk from Shukuin Station on the Hankai Line.
