Midosuji Line
御堂筋線

The Midosuji Line runs directly under “Midosuji” - the main street of Osaka, running longitudinally through the center of the city. The line color is red. The line is represented with the letter “M” for “Midosuji Line” in the station numbering system. The most convenient way to move between “Kita” and “Minami”, the two major areas of Osaka, the Midosuji Line connects Osaka’s most important transportation hubs: Shin-Osaka Station, Umeda Station, Namba Station, and Tennoji Station. With connections to all of the private railway lines that connect Osaka and its suburbs, over 1 million people use this line every day. As such, trains on this line run with very short intervals. The Midosuji Line is perfect for sightseeing in Osaka and Kansai in general.
